Welcome to GREEN SOULS, an inspiring educational program designed to creatively increase environmental understanding and awareness among today’s children; tomorrow’s custodians.

GREEN SOULS empowers the children of today with understanding and awareness of the global problem so that they become a very real part of the global solution.

Not just an umbrella name but a mantle for each individual participant, the GREEN SOULS learn about the causes of Climate Change, its impact on the environment and are inspired by the “living classroom” to become a proactive part of the Global Solution.  

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Repair
GREEN SOULS provides a dynamic classroom with an emphasis on fun, practical and often edible learning.  One single GREEN SOULS plantation has the potential to remain beneficial for decades providing a fountain of botanical and ecological learning as well as a living example of how individuals, great and small, can help to protect the planet’s health.

GREEN SOULS is sponsored by David O. Kingston and the SOULS FOUNDATION.

2010 shall see expansion of the GREEN SOULS Environmental Program receiving continued support from THE SOULS FOUNDATION and their sponsorship of further and more widespread Tree Planting Days. 

Furthermore, the path is laid for a collaborative partnership between GREEN SOULS and PLANT A TREE TODAY, a UK registered Foundation established in 2005.  This proposed collaboration delivers a perfect blend of technical expertise and on-the-ground management.

Through collaboration the objective is to focus on the SCHOOL TREE NURSERY PROGRAM in which trees become a metaphor for the planet’s overall health.  Via a hands-on approach, students learn and understand the importance of trees and how they can affect their school environment, their community, their country and ultimately overall planet health.

In Burma, green souls sponsored the planting of 10 mango trees at an orphanage/school in the delta region. Cyclone nargis killed 130.000 burmese in 2008. Many of the children helped with the planting and learned about sustainable development.

--- In Cambodia ---

Green souls first tree planting event was in Phnom Penh, Cambodia july 2009. Green souls joined with cambodian  center for the  protection of childrens rights to sponsor a tree planting day. Ccpcr is a long time collaborator with souls foundatiuon. The center works primarily with abused children providing shelter and rehabililation services.

Both children and staff  of ccpcr participated in the day long event.

It also inspired the shelter to plant there own vegatable garden. Which will contribute to their sustainable development .
